|05:03 pm - Frustration|
Some days, I get frustrated with my progress through the ADF Clergy Training Program. It's hard (and it just gets harder as it goes on). I just stood up, my brain hurting from trying to manage answering a question, and walked around in a circle, not really knowing why I got up in the first place. There's a specter of fear in my mind telling me that I just can't answer them, and that I'm simply not good enough.
Right now, I'm stuck on Divination 2. There, I need to provide nine divinations I've done for others. Right now, I only have access to notes for three. I cannot find others (though I know I've done others).
So, if anyone needs any sort of divination work done, please let me know. It would aid me greatly to do some divination for you.
I'm within two questions of finishing Divination 2 and one question of finishing Trance 1. I have nearly all the information I need to finish the biggest question in Trance 2, as well, but actually doing it is really hard for me. It's so hard for me to see the end but to feel like I simply cannot get there. I feel like Zeno's frog.
Well, back to work: complaining about it doesn't make it finish itself. I really, really want to finish Trance 1 today, and get a solid start on Trance 2. Perseverance is the virtue of today.
(If I could choose two "moods" for this post, it would be "frustrated, hopeful." But, alas, I cannot.)

Not sure if you still need someone willing "vic..." I mean, help, but I could use a little insight. If you're able to do long distance work, let me know. Email me and let me know. Thanks.
Ooops...this is me...I forgot I wasn't logged in when I posted. Sorry.
Regarding the block, maybe don't force it... take a breather (whatever that means to you) and come back to it after...?
Regarding the divination, you can do one for me. Want me to call you?
Pleasure speaking to you last night. You should get a note with the description in it as soon as I get it written up :)

You can do a divination for me too, if you want. ;)
I want to know if I should switch real estate brokers, and if so, how soon.
Okay, I'll see about doing that divination for you :)
i'll take you up on some divination work, for sure, just let me know whats good for you.
Whenever, really. Or, at ComFest, if you'd like. Or after the rite today?
Can you do divination via internets? If so, I'm game.
I can :) As I noted above, I might set up a journal entry for folks so that they can send me questions.
I think you may get more volunteers than you acutally need but I up for it if you need more. Email: firstname.lastname@example.org
Div2 and Trance1 is all you need for the IP right?
And Trance2. It's a rough course of study when you really like academic-style questions and answers :)
I don't mind more practice :)
Phone and email work for me. I'm pretty laid back about it. I *do* take notes while I do divinations, so I spend a lot of time writing rather than speaking when I'm doing a divination over the phone :)
I'll volunteer for Divination, if you still need more.
As for if you can do it, I have no doubt...but if you do, do what we all do...pray :)
You do such a great job leading others as it is, I see this as just 'paperwork'. Not meaning to demean it, but you offer lots of guidance, and will no matter what. It's just who you are. Good luck
Oh, I know that I *can* do it. That is probably part of what's so frustrating about it.
Really, though, it's a lot more than "just paperwork": I've learned so much from doing it, and I've gotten so much further than I ever would have gotten without it.
Most of my learning as a priest has actually been via the DP and CTP, and particularly through talking about it.
And I could always use more divination. It's really less about needing more and more about needing the practice. Are you and your PG coming down for ComFest next weekend?
Perhaps we can motivate each other? I will be creating a new journal entry so that people can submit stuff via email, I think, so I can do readings that way.
Hey, I still have a copy of the divination work you did for me in February 2007 if that'll help. I originally asked the questions via your website, but you copy pasted them into the email you sent me, so it may be of some value to you. If you'd like a copy of that, let me know.
I have that one (it's my first bit of divination in that question). Thanks for offering, though :)
Ironically, I was just thinkin I should have someone do some divination for me. I've never had it done before.
Looks like you're all booked up already tho, so I shall wait for the next opportunity :D
As I said above, it's less about filling the requirement and more about getting the practice, so feel free to ask away :)
There'll be a journal entry later asking for submissions.
I belong to a Divination meetup group that meets at Luck Bros Cafe in Grandview. Cindy Hartline leads the group and has been talking about asking you and Sean to come to one of our meetups to share the Druid perspective of Divination. It is a casual meetup and members give and receive readings for each other using various Divination techniques. You can count on at least 15-20 participants. I really enjoy this meetup and think it might be a nice way for you to fulfill this requirement. Let me know if you are interested and I can give you the specifics.
It might. I generally prefer one-on-one settings for stuff I'm going to get deeply into, but I wouldn't mind coming by sometime to talk about what we do, and I think Shawneen would love to come, as well.

Look me up if you need another.
*nods* Thanks. I presume that you got everything offloaded fine last night?
Hey, don´t let yourself burn-out :-) Anyway, are you obliged to finish the CTP IInd circle within any specified amount of time?
I am. I have, according to the CTP SOP
, six years from consecration to finish Second Circle. As of Samhain 2008, I'll have four years left to finish the final 7 courses that aren't done yet (Trance1, Div2, and Trance2 are all verging on completion, so there'd be four more, presuming I can manage them in the next few days, which I'd like to do).
Then I'll get three further years to complete the Third Circle.
However, I'm not the procrastinating sort: I'd like to finish CTP 2 by Samhain, if possible, and CTP 3 by the following Summerland Gathering.
