I'll be in the mountains from July 1 until July 6.

If there's anything you need, best ask me now.

My wandering toes are getting the better of me.

I'm hoping to go about 50 miles. The better part will be alone.

It's a much-needed vacation.

In a completely unrelated topic, did you get to see or tape JB this morning?

A week in the mountains sounds lovely. Though without the 50 miles a day.

See or tape? No. No one told me about it, and as I watch as little TV as possible, I wouldn't have seen it. What did I miss?

(Oh, and that's 50 miles over the time I'm gone, not per day. I'm no legionaire) :)

Jimmy Buffett does a concert on the Today Show every year to kick off their Friday summer concert series. There's a video of a couple of the songs. I was running around looking for work clothes this morning, so I missed most of it. Only caught the end of Cheeseburger in Paradise. Here's today's Today show page

Enjoy! What part are you hiking? The Appalachian trail went through my back yard when I was growing up.

Okay not my literal backyard but I lived on the other side of Bearfort Mountain from Waywayanda State Park and the Appalachian Trail. There was nothing but mountain and trees beyond my house all the way up and then back down into the state park.

Man, I miss the mountains and trees and stuff.

Have fun!

Oh, kick-ass. If I had the money, equipment, and time, I would so join you. If it wasn't for Outdoor Pursuits in Wales, I would've never probably be remotely interested in stuff like this.

Have a blast and good luck!
