|12:49 pm - Political Quiz|
I scored a 22 on the Political Quiz Show. That puts me between Colin Powell and George Bush Sr. It's on a scale from 0 to 40. 0 is liberal, 40 is conservative.
Amusingly, I thought it was on a scale of 1-10 given my friends list.

I got an 8. And I think some of the questions were misleading. I think i deserved a five.
I got a 10, and I agree about some of the questions. There also needed to be a "neither" choice on more of the questions.
Straight down the middle, eh? I have to say, I'm not surprised ;-)
BTW--an 11. Between Hillary and Bill. Heh. My arch-conservative stepfather just shakes his head. :)
I'm not satisfied with those questions (but then, it's an internet quiz). They leave no room for gray areas.
I'm 16, between a Clinton and Powell... what a rotten place to be. ;P

I'm just left of Hillary
I got a nine. But I kept looking for the "none of the above" option, since so many of the options seemed extremely limiting. The violent crime question is probably the best example -- I don't see either of the presented options as doing much good.
I got the vague impression that the authors of the quiz lean right.
I got a 19, which sounds about right, except my response to several of the choices was "huh???" From what I can tell, the fool thing doesn't recognize that there are people who are social liberals and fiscal conservatives, or lumps us all in the middle.

social liberals and fiscal conservatives
That's why the Libertarians use a two-dimensional system
. Though their quiz is even more limiting in its options than this one-dimensional one is.
Re: social liberals and fiscal conservatives
Yep, it is limiting, but at least I am able to find answers that work for me on it! And I end up:
Your Personal Self-Government Score is 80%.
Your Economic Self-Government Score is 100%.
That works for me.
hey we scored the same...22 right between Powell and Bush...hmmm
I'm a 13, seems about right for me as well
i got a 9... i think it would have been lower if there had been options like "none of the above" and "yes/no given the following situation..."
Got a 6- just above Teddy. :)
And not even remotely surprised.
I got 12 I think. Although its American. Add a few quyestions about the NHS, the EU and other such things that I couldn't imagine life without and no doubt it'd be a different picture.
I got a 14, but I suspect in reality I am more like a 17. Not that it makes any difference, though.

An 8, but then I've mellowed as I've gotten older. Fifteen years ago I would've been a card-carrying member of the Party, now I'm merely a card-carrying member of the ACLU. ;)
I should become a card-carrying member of that group!
I hear they're into godless babykilling and flagburning and other such things.
Who knows? Could be fun!
I got 15 - just like my favorite politician on the list:>D (Seriously, in the past few days this has been reinforced in my mind) Bill Clinton is a brilliant Politician.
Hehe. Brilliant, perhaps, but does that mean I have to like him? :)
Nope - that's his particular brilliance;>) (Teehee)

(yes i've come over to the dark side of LJ)
i scored a 7. so much for my view of myself as moderate.
i have a quibble. in the question re: gun control, neither of the two options presented are going to prevent violent crime, so i left it blank :)
