She's feeling better, but still not 100%, after her surgery, so we weren't able to do anything at all, really, with the minor exception of going out to brunch with wishesofastar and her husband. That marked my first time at the breakfast place First Watch, which I keep hearing is this amazing place to eat, but I was unimpressed in general. The pancakes were mildly okay (and lukewarm), the syrup was lame, the eggs were expensive, and the bacon was almost (but not quite) perfect. A $10 breakfast should be excellent, however, and I just didn't feel likethat was the case.
But staying home with Tina was something I had to do. We've watched a lot of movies over the past week or so, including The Big Lebowski, A Beautiful Mind, and we went out to see The Bourne Supremacy last night.
Mind sucked. That's the only way I can describe it. It was 2 hours and 16 minutes of no plot annoyance and a completely dull set of psychological twists that could only have been interesting had his delusions been true.
Lebowski was slightly more interesting, but still annoying, tedious, and shockingly unfunny.
Bourne was (and this is scary) the best of these three movies. Shaky camera-work aside, it was genuinely fun. I didn't feel like I could get up, walk out, and come back in a half hour later and that the plot would still be in the same place.
Finally, my apologies for missing everything I did this weekend. My girlfriend needed me.
