You know, I have no idea what's up with this, but apparently someone is reading athanasios's journal and forwarding links from it. I guess they've been doing it for a long time.
Whoever it is. . . You're just creating drama. If you don't like athanasios, then why are you reading his journal?
A) you know it's just going to make you mad.
B) forwarding things on just stirs the pot and pisses people off.
C) if you think you're being smart/cool, you ain't.
As a Discordian, I'd like to say one final thing:
If you think you're doing Eris a favour, you aren't. Rememeber the idea of destructive and creative chaos? If you don't, re-read your Principia, because you suck at being a Discordian.
(from p. 63, Principia Discordia)
To choose order over disorder, or disorder over order, is to accept a trip composed of both the creative and the destructive. But to choose the creative over the destructive is an all-creative trip composed of both order and disorder. To accomplish this, one need only accept creative disorder along with, and equal to, creative order, and also be willing to reject destructive order as an undesirable equal to destructive disorder.

kind of agree with Todd about being concerned with what BJ said, since he's suddenly been picked as the new head of the Bardic Guild (why we don't get to vote our own head, I don't know, but that's a different issue).
BJ was picked as the head of the Bardic Guild without a vote because that is what the Bardic Guild's by-laws say the resigning Guild Chief has the power to do. It clearly states in section III G. Removal and Resignation of Officers - paragraph 3.
"Resignation of Office
a) If the Chief Bard resigns she or he may appoint her or his own acting
Knowing BJ, I'm not concerned at all and feel Todd seriously over reacted. But terms of office are five years, which is a long time. You Bards might want to tweek your by-laws, eh? But BJ is very honorable and equitable, so I don't think you will have too many problems for the rest of his term. I'm on both Bardic and Leadership lists so my e-mail caught double the shit storm.

Todd seriously overreacts ALL the time.
When my wife was Liturgist Guild Preceptor she Todd essentially demanded she present him with the study program "thus far" to him right before he left for Desert Magic festival in May. She told him no, and stated she had already told him no on the Liturgist Guild officers list.
He posted a several page response that she did NOT post a notice to the Liturgist Guild officers list, and told her that is she did not apologize to him she would bring charges against her to the Mother Grove. This is crazy. Is ADF a religious group or a role-playing game in politics?

"Is ADF a religious group or a role-playing game in politics?"
Is there really, at the end of the day, any difference?

I should hope for a difference in the level of realism and maintaing our souls, but practically? heh.
No, I understand why we don't vote, in terms of the bylaws, but I don't understand why the bylaws were written that way. I think we should tweek the bylaws, frankly, though that doesn't mean I don't respect BJ as the new leader--I do. I also don't think BJ is about to do anything bad or commit sabotage--it's kind of a ridiculous notion, and I didn't mean to imply that (so in other words, I see what BJ means about things being misconstrued, especially in Livejournal). I suppose Todd did overreact, but with everything that's been going on, I'm not surprised that he did.

What I think is interesting is that Gwynne was the one who had a major hand in CREATING the Bardic Guild by-laws.
