|08:33 am - A Letter from Voinovich|
So today, I received a response to Sen. George V. Voinovich.
In it, he thanked me for my letter regarding the definition of marriage.
And then proceded to tell me that I am wrong.
Worse, he explained it using phrases like, "I believe" and "I am of the opinion".
I'm sorry. Did I elect you to have opinions or beliefs, or did I elect you to vote the way I would like you to? Remember that whole deal? We elect you, you represent us? I don't remember anyone suggesting you were allowed to vote willy-nilly on your own agenda.
And this man is the chariman of the Senate Ethics Committee.
I will scan and post the letter as soon as I receive one from Sen. DeWine, so as to complete my collection.
Write your asshole congressmen, and vote in November. You may register here.

that poor man... I really liked him as our governor for a while, but i might have been biased in that a) I didn't really know his stance on anything, and b) I met him for a school project in Put-in-bay and I reallly liked him as a person. (I was also no more than 15)
I believe that you should respond to his letter with your exact frustrations that you have mentioned here, and perhaps citing the Bill of Rights and the Constitution, etc. He obviously has gotten caught up in all the bureaucratic politics and has forgotten what his real job is...
