|09:37 am - And sometimes I fall down.|
romandruid asked me a few entries ago, "Do you ever lapse?" Perhaps unsurprisingly, I was writing this particular piece at the time.
Esus, Lord, Passionate One --
I come before you humbly,
My knees sore with weary shuffling,
My voice hoarse with deepest regret,
My shoulders hunched in quiet shame,
My eyes cast down in silent reflection.
A long time I have been away,
And only now I return.
My back is no longer turned,
My face is bathed in your shining light.
I have returned.
I am yours, Furious One.
Do with me as you will.

As Rumi says:
Come, come, whoever you are,
Wanderer, worshiper, lover of leaving.
Ours is no caravan of despair.
Even if you have broken your vows a thousand times,
Come, yet again, come.
