<< The amount of time off required >>

Actually you can come for as little or as much of the event as you want, as long as you're willing to pay for it. They just don't offer day rates. And when I reflect upon the potential of constant in-and-out traffic, the tracking down of unpaid lingerers, and the probable increase in gawkers... I kinda see why they don't.

<< and its horrid placement for a Pagan event in central Ohio is very off-putting. >>

Geographic placement, or time placement?

If you mean geographic, no, it's not a "central Ohio" event, nor is it meant to be. It's a national event (actually you could say it's international), and just happens to be held on land in SE Ohio.

<< It conflicts with two Grove events and all of ComFest. >>

This is the 25th annual PSG, and it is always held the week of the Summer
Solstice. More properly, the Grove events conflict with it. ;-)

I've been to ComFest too, and while on a practical level I made twice as much money there, I like PSG much better. Actually it seems strange to compare them, they're nothing alike at all. I can't imagine choosing to attend ComFest over PSG, but probably we have different reasons for being attached to one or the other.

Oh well, sorry it doesn't fit with your schedule well. I hope you will consider it someday!

Well, the Grove is required to hold open to the public rituals, and we hold one for the Solstice, so for me, PSG is the one conflicting :)

And ComFest is all about the hippies in Columbus, and that is a prime target for outreach. The people who attend ComFest are the people we want to meet. . . The people at PSG, less so.

But it's possible I'll still get to go, I just won't be able to make up my mind for a couple months.

Ah, you do ADF outreach at ComFest? I didn't know. I thought you meant that ComFest was a favorite party occasion, or something along those lines. :-)

You've got time! (Of course you do, you are Chronarchy) It just gets more expensive after certain dates. I think you can technically register all the way up till June 1 (and most likely after that). Although Circle gives the 1st as their "final" cut-off, I doubt they would turn away a registration on June 8th or something.

You can't register at the gate at PSG, though. You may already have known that, but just in case, FYI.

I do hope to see you there some year, if not this one!

Hehe. I don't party much. The hippies at ComFest are perfect for trying to find new members, and the Grove is looking to have a booth there, which means I have to work off the difference with my Grove. What fun :)

But depending on the amount of volunteers we get to run the booth, maybe I'm unneeded. It's nice to not be needed (which is entirely different from not being wanted).
