|04:58 pm - 40 days and 40 nights. . .|
Just so my friends know, if they flood the University, it's unlikely to affect me any more than keep me from getting into work, as I live plenty far from the Olentangy river.
But I will get a week off work.
And if anyone affected needs anything, call me or email me.

I've been wondering something for a while; I think I already know the answer, but I'll ask anyways:
Do you ever listen to something other than Jimmy Buffet?
Inquiring minds (namely mine) want to know, heh heh.
Actually, yes. Quite a bit. Generally, in the mornings I wake up to the local alternative station, CD101
. When I lived in Chicago, it was Q101
all the way. When I was growing up, it was all oldies, and I can sing just about anything from the 50's, 60's, or early 70's. When I drive, I tend to listen to CD101, but I've been known to switch over to The Big Wazu
and The Blitz
. And Tina's gotten me started on 80's Hair Bands and metal, from Guns N' Roses
. I also own some Glen Miller
, the Anything Goes
soundtrack, some Miles Davis
, and even some Ace of Base
But my second favourite band ever is Green Day
. By far.
So really, in the end, I have a terribly eclectic musical education. However, having listened to all that stuff, I still like Jimmy best.
And I don't have any music at work other than Jimmy Buffett (34 hours, 28 minutes, and 55 seconds worth). And since I tend to post from my office computer, I'm pretty well always listening to Buffett when I post if I'm listening to anything at all.

Ah, so in other words, exactly what I thought.
But other than that, your musical tastes are about as eclectic as my own. Although I have a lot more really hard rock (i.e. Rammstein
) on my playlist.
omigods, I love those bands! (except ministry, since I can't remember any of their songs right now...)

Music at work
So how long do you think it'll be now before someone shows up at your office to give you a CD full of non-Buffett music?
How would it be to have that 34 and a half hours of Buffett mixed with a few hours of Green Day?

Re: Music at work
I imagine that I'd thank the person kindly and take the CD home :) That's generally what I do.
Green Day isn't really very proper to have playing in a walk-in area, and "I declare I don't care no more" isn't nearly as conducive to dealing with the angry customers as "I shot six holes in my freezer". Okay, so it's a fine difference that only a parrothead would understand, but it's true :)
You've only scratched the surface of eclectic musical tastes, babe. You need to hang out with me more. I'm about to get my hands on some Cambodian lounge music...

Any idea how things are over in the old neighborhood?

Re: Deep water
If the dam is opened, everything within a half-mile of the Olentangy will be flooded. So the houses we used to live in will be, as well.
crazy. I wonder if it will affect my sister at all.
I remember a few years ago when there was a crazy ass hailstorm/tornado/flood thing happening on High street, and we were both so scared that I drove the plastic Saturn to her and we huddled together in laughter and fear.
Miss you bunches-- I finally finished Season 3 and so expect a package from me by the end of January...hopefully.
