|02:19 pm - ComFest|
I have next Friday off for ComFest, apparently. This is a good thing.
It means I can staff the Grove booth.
Time to figure out how much literature we're going to need.
Current Mood: busy
Current Music: "Lovely Cruise", -JB
Believe me, there is much trouble to be gotten into at ComFest whether you're alone or in a group.
But if you're willing to volunteer, we still have some slots available so we can get our deposit back :)
Me, I'll be at the booth all day drinkin' lots of carrot juice and soakin' up rays.
ComFest is probably *the* best place to people-watch I've ever seen. Simply standing still is interesting.
Volunteer to do what? Sounds good.
Haha, and I'm always up for just chilling around drinking... er, carrot juice and watching people.
The volunteer shifts are pretty varied:http://www.comfest.com/forvolunteers.htm
You can do all sorts of stuff, if you'd like. Every hour earns another $4 back for the Grove, until we recover all the cash from our volunteer deposit. Basically, you just tell them that you're there to volunteer for us, and we get some of our cash back.
But you're more than welcome to hang out and talk to people, a la Student Involvement Fair.
