10:12 am - Update after a good weekend
Ah, Summerland. Probably the best one yet.

I'm very happy with the way it turned out.

I had a lot of fun; I made some very introspective decisions; and I found out that sometimes, you can't trust everybody.

On the one hand, I think our Grove acheived a new standard of "Fellowship". On the other, I learned something new about myself that somewhat startled me. On the other hand (wait, is that a hand?), I've re-affirmed that I don't care for being tied up. At all.

But the weekend ended well, even though there's a major crick in my neck. I suspect this has something to do with my trip to the airport to drop healing_coyote off. I can't possibly imagine what would have caused it, though.

Details are forthcoming. The review will be rather in depth and is about halfway done. Hopefully, I'll have it for you tomorrow.

That still leaves the question of whether or not you care for tieing other people up.

Actually, I enjoy the aspect of play that it has. Tying people up really doesn't do anything for me, but the game, where the rules are clear, is a lot of fun. So while yes, I'd probably say I enjoy tying people up, it has nothing to do with the tying of the person. I would get the exact same thing out of a good game of Twister.

Yeah, I was gonna have to ask for a little more detail on that as well...

I don't care for being tied up.

Although it was my first experience with such, it didn't do much for me, either. It's just not as much fun when you can't touch back. And I don't like situations that I can't get out of on my own if I need to.

To be honest, if I didn't trust you as much as I do, I wouldn't have agreed in the first place.

Then you probably shouldn't have agreed, rather like I shouldn't have.

That makes three of us that shouldn't have agreed.

I wonder how many of us shouldn't have. . .

Well, it does make a good story, at least.

I disagree. I was in a situation where I knew I was safe & things would not get out of hand. It's a good time to try new things. Now I've tried it. :)

not being tied up

i could of guessed as much, you have a rather dominant agresive sensual energy that isn't very submissive.

Actually, I'm not. I'm not interested in dominance or submission. I don't find either terribly fun.

I prefer an equal footing, at all times.

hrm. thats rather appealing i must say, equal footing wise.

i must say as far as the kissing went you came across as rather dominant then, to amend that statement, not dominant over all.....although you were responsible for the tying up. :-p

i'm proud to say that i have enough pics of the whole ordeal to keep me entertained for quite a bit.

Ah, but that's because I know *you* like a bit of dominance.

I listen to fantasies. Carefully. I've had this strange feeling that someday they'd come in handy.

As you point out, though, I wasn't overly dominant for the whole time.

although you were responsible for the tying up.

I only had the chains. It was requested, remember. I was simply following orders.

unfortunately I was unable to make it to Summerlands this year but Paola and I definitely plan on making it next time around. Due to financial issues , we have to limit ourself to one festival a year.

Mike, I must say that I really enjoy hanging out with you. You are such a man of contradictions. Mischievious, yet honorable. Very cool and collected, and yet sometimes unsure. Very complicated yet very simple at the same time. It's nice and fascinating to see all the facets of you and how they fit into the unified person.

Eris has chosen Her son very well indeed.

And I salute you for being the man you are.

And to you, Rod. Honestly, for a while I have a feeling that neither of us knew what to make of the other. Over time, though, that's diminished, and I was quite happy to see you camping next to me when I woke up on Friday.

You too have that calm and collected look about you, and it makes me wonder what you're thinking underneath that. Very ninja-like.

*narrows eyes, nods knowingly*

Oh, and if you want facets and uncertainty, read the full festival review. . .

*returns nod*

I'm thinking you are right about not knowing what to make of the other at first. I think that most people are surprised by other people's complexity. I guess I just naturally assumed (mostly from your posts) that you are very complicated and adjusted my thinking about you to include this. So instead of going "Gee, Mike's complicated," I was thinking "Wow, Mike's like a stained glass window. So many pieces, seemingly unconnected, but look at the picture it makes." It teaches me to look for the complexity in others.

As far as I'm concerned, I think a lot of my calm and collectedness comes from just being shy and not knowing what to say half the time. Not that I'm not complicated too... But I'll just take the compliment and shut up.
