02:02 pm - Fighting the good fight, you know. . .
"I can't believe she picked it up,
She didn't know the rules somehow.
Then I hear her say, "Hello". . .
Panic in the gray room now!
"

I'm laughing at the rules today.

You remind me of my friend Tom. Although I don't know that I know you well enough to make that assumption, so forgive me if I'm wrong. He takes great pleasure in making ambiguous and confusing statements that have an air of seriousness about them. It's one of the things I like best about him, but anyway...you remind me of him...haha.

Hope you're having a good day.

Quite the good day. I wish, though, that I could say it was, indeed, ambiguous and confusing, but it makes perfect sense to me, even if I can't explain it.

And I tried, but really, I think it's just the Parrothead in me having a lark with some lyrics.

Damn if I didn't almost post the same sort of thing almost immediately after, when "Window on the World" came on.

Though there, the girl I'd be asking to stand a little closer might just have read it and gotten it. Such things are dangerous :)

But really, I can explain a bit of why "Window on the World" speaks to me: it has to do with the first line, and the line about a foreign land.

But especially, it has to do about thinking about someone and not being able to sleep.

Curiously, though, several women in my life could be applied to that song. I'm not sure any would be surprised about it.

Then again, one song often can make me think of several women. There are very few songs that fit with one particular woman.

And with that, I've probably dropped back into "ambiguous and confusing", eh?
