You all know I hate to give things away, but I've been thinking a lot about James Frey recently.
I took my car into the shop today because the ignition switch failed miserably this morning and gave me a nasty message. Whoever allowed my car to display error messages needs to be shot. Anyway, after an argument with the damn thing, I took it in and spent most of the morning eating complimentary warm chocolate chip cookies in the Saturn North dealership waiting room reading articles.
One was on James Frey.
It served to make me think harder about things I was already thinking of.
Anyway, class time. So back to thinking about Xochicalco and Teotihuacan. I'm really, really enjoying this class.
Is this entry true?
It is partially true
It is partially false

Are you trying to say you fabricate large portions of your journal?
I think he encourages readers to assume that at least a portion of his entries are fabrication. Perhaps he now wants to sell them for profit?
Yes, these polls of his rather point in that direction. lol
Or maybe he just wants to be chastised by Oprah?
I thought he wasn't into that chastining stuff...? (Pssttt... can he hear us talking about him here?)
I thought he wasn't into that chastining stuff...?
Oho, so he says. But maybe it's just a Freyism.
(Pssttt... can he hear us talking about him here?)
Why, what would you say if you thought he couldn't? ;-)
I know exactlywhat I'd say.
I lead lots of people to believe lots of things, I hope.
Did you say something? I thought my nose was itching. . .
I dunno if I encourage that, exactly. But then, I have a tendency to encourage lots of things that I don't actually intend to.
I'm sure it'll make sense when I get the pice done to talk about it with.
Looking up old resources now.
For a second there I thought you said Tenochtitlan. I was going to say... "we Huns need no houses!"
Haha. Tenochtitlan was another option, but then, I'm less impressed with that city :)

hmmmm... cookies, sort of like pie :)
I admit, I generally think of you when I have any sort of dessert. You've. . . shall we say, "spoiled me" on desserts?
