|07:23 pm - Creating Magical Entities!|
Wanna learn how to create magical entities?
Buckeye Suite FG, Ohio Union, 30 minutes. (8:00 PM)
Be there or get an entity named after you. An entity that does bad things.
I just managed to trim the handout down from 38 pages to 12. I know this will disappoint many.

Hey...I don't go to OSU. Any chance I can get a PDF file of the handout? That sounds interesting.
*nods* one will be made available.
You'll just have to fill me in later on what the newly created entity, "Just Jenni" does. But as I had the name first, I will duly whoop its entity butt and send it skittering back into pre-oblivion where any entity who tries to abscond with MY magical name belongs.
"Just Jenni" is one of the best magical names ever. Did you submit that to ADF to be included with your membership information?
No way! That's my not-so-super-secret magical name for the Initiates Program (if said program ever actually happens).

If my Photoshop class lets out very early, I'll say I'll be there (and, obviously, won't show up).
In fact if I DO show up you should probably try silver bullets. Whatever's there in my guise can be naught but horrific.
Can I be excused as I live 2 states away? I don't want a storm of bouncy balls unleashed in my name.
May I be excused also? I think I'm only one state away, but it's still too far to make in 1/2 an hour regardless....
I suppose that's alright. Maybe next time?
Excellent. I look forward to seeing an article on "Bilocating to Attend MJD's Workshops" in OL
Well, "for the heck of it" is always a good enough reason for me.
However, I might suggest that they're good for just about anything you might need, from keeping your toast from burning to attracting hot men. Granted, one should always look at the pathways available before going with magic, but then, one should really look at all available pathways for . . . everything :)
I remember reading on some Chaos Magick site about creating an entity that cna warp time for you--give you more here, less there. I'd love to have one of those--I really need more sleep.
Yes, you're thinking about Fotamecus
, a creation by Fenwick and one of the groups he was in contact with. A lot of other info can be found at ChaosMatrix.Org
Are they a good site? Because I really have no idea when it comes to this stuff what's considered "good" and "bad" (which, yeah are funny words to use when it comes to chaos)
*nods* Generally speaking, ChaosMatrix is really the place to go to get info on Chaos Magic, primarily because it's collected from Alt.Magick.Chaos and so represents a number of writers.
The info is kinda dated, I suppose (last updated in 2003, I think), but it's still really good.

Are you basing it on Carrolls works or one of the others?
*tells his servitor to quit throwing nuts at him*
Partially on some of his work, though I find Phil Hine to be a bit more. . . understandable for the purposes of teaching people who have never worked with them before. I also used the now-classic example of Fotamecus
But the main source of inspiration was this poorly-written book, Creating Magickal Entities
, which really excited me, but was the biggest let-down I'd ever experienced from a book.
I took their ideas re-worked them, and made some good use of them.

Ohhh, sounds good, I'd love to see a copy of the docs... In fact, I know that Pete is looking for some serious practicioners to join his new web based think tank...
He said I wasn't quite 'serious' enough of a Magician.. I decided that it was a compliment ;-)
I'll have a .pdf of the docs soon.
And that is a hell of a compliment :)
I dunno if I'd be any more 'serious' than you, though. In fact, you may have me beat on a number of levels.

I think he didn't like the fact that I considered all of the Magic as simply another reality tunnel where "What the Thinker Thinks, The Prover Proves". Anyway, I look forward to reading your PDF :)
Just posted it in my lj :)
i wasn't there. does my entity at least have the ability to expand time to fill the amount of work there is to do?
