|09:11 am - An oracle for today|
My Buffett Oracle for the morning is:
3. Come Monday, it'll be alright.
I couldn't have said it better myself.
*goes off looking for some Hush Puppies*
Current Location: Southeast of Disorder
Current Mood: happy
Current Music: "Come Monday", -JB
Hush puppies the food or the shoes?
"I got my Hush Puppies on, I guess I was never meant for glitter rock n' roll"
If he's got 'em on, I'm hoping the shoes.
(Buffett trivia: "Come Monday" was banned by the BBC because of the Hush Puppies line. It was considered a "commercial endorsement" and thus could not be played on their airwaves.)
Ah, ok. I don't know where those are sold anymore. The food, now that I could have provided guidance on.
I did some quick research, and found this
:Jimmy Buffett's single, "come Monday" contained the line, "I've got my Hush Puppies on." Since the BBC considered this to be advertising he re-recorded that line so it said, "I've got my hiking shoes on."
So, technically, I can still just keep my hiking shoes on and be within "cannon".
As for the food instead of the shoes? Well, I can't help but think that there's got to be a fetish site somewhere for guys who stick their feet in edible hush puppies, and I'm now wondering if I could get a boost in my wallet if I just did some discreet modeling?
Given the size of Hush Puppies the food, you wouldn't be able to even fit your big toe in one! The HP are small and your toes are on the largish side of the spectrum.
Oh, I think we should stick one on each toe and take pictures. *grin*
btw, there's a Hush Puppy outlet (the shoe kind) at Jeffersonville. They also have Merrill's, so you should be happy there either way. :)
You and I (and anyone else who wants to come) need to get ourselves down to Jeffersonville here soon. I'm a free woman after the 6th, so anytime after that is good for me.
Guys, what IS hush puppies the food?
*furrows brow in concern*
I don't know that I want to eat a food with the word 'puppies' in the title...
Now I want hush puppies the food!
You work downtown right? If so, go to Marino's on 5th in Grandview. They have excellent food, and it is a quick trip from downtown.
Long John Silvers! *arrrr!!*
Marino's is *so* much better than LJS. Not that I'm dissing LJS, 'cause I like them too...
(I just like to act like a pirate.)
