Vote 3 is in, and positive.
That makes me Dedicant Clergy:
(From the Clergy Council P&PM): The candidate's clergy credentials will be valid immediately upon approval of the Officers.
Consecration will take place at Summerland for sure, during the Unity Rite at 3 PM on Saturday. The ritual is free and open to the public, according to Karen of 6th Night.
Just sent email responding to my parents, regarding what they should wear.
For pure amusement, what should I have told my parents to wear?
What should my parents have been told was "acceptable attire" to an ADF festival?
Current Location: Southeast of Disorder
Current Mood: amused
Current Music: "Take Another Road", -JB
Thanks. It's pretty much you Grovies who made this happen. I had little enough to do with it :)

"Oh, pretty much whatever you want. I expect to see people in robes (think Catholic vestments and you're pretty close) and people in jeans and shorts. There might be dress shirts and there might be t-shirts. So, "casual," I suppose, is the best thing I can say :)"
They've never been to a Pagan festival before. This is. . . new to them.

Wait so now they cover clergy with chocolate, caramel, whipped topping and nuts? I love it!
Awesome! Congratulations! :)
I'm rather happy with it. Now, if they'd just finish the next couple of circles of training so I can fly through that, too.
Congrats. I'll have to eat some chocolate in your honor. ;)
I insist that it be the best chocolate you can find.
Nothing substandard. I know how torturous that will be for you, but I have faith in you.
"Are we there yet?"
Hehe. I wonder if I can talk druidkirk
into using that as the processional?

I'm happy for you, and regardless of what your parents actually wear, I'm sure they are proud!

More correctly, possibly, confused. :)
But that's okay. They're planning to be there, it seems. And that says more than any congratulatory sentiment they may speak.
You make me smile! Special Congratulations to you and a special thank you from all of us just beginning the Dedicant Program. Your accomplishments and the help you give to us is something we appreciate and look up to. A personal thank you from me and have a beautiful day with your parents.
Hey, it's you guys who put me here, really, so "Thank you" to the Dedicants of ADF!
I honestly couldn't have done it without the Dedicants. You guys teach me more every day.
Congrats!!! I'll spend all day Saturday skyclad in your honor. ;)
Congratulations, man. If any of my friends is more suited to be clergy, I can't tell how.
Personally I think you should tell your parents that they have to wear garments constructed from natural materials that they killed/gathered with their own hands. It might be interesting to see your folks show up in twig-and-leaf gear, patched here and there with bits of squirrel fur.
*considers mental image again*
Haha. I could see that :)
Then again, what they might come up with? Hard to say. I thought about telling my dad just to "think about hippies, and dress like that", but then he totally wouldn't have come :)
And thanks. I'm taking that second sentence as a huge compliment. :)
Congrats! :) I'm not sure what all is involved in being clergy, but it sounds like they've chosen the right man for the job as evidenced by your hard work and dedication. And besides, you already have all those years of experience being a pope!
But remember: you, too, are a pope!
I've been telling you all along that you're clergy. Nice to see the rest of ADF's caught up. ;-D
Thanks. It's been fun, really, figuring it out. :)
That's wonderful. It makes me regret not coming to Summerland this year.
