|09:01 am - Family Trees and Chess|
This morning, I found that, at some point in the past, my family tree got online. It was probably my fault.
It's a nifty (but poorly designed) java applet that lets you skim my family tree. The instructions at the bottom are. . . remarkably helpful.
I also found out that my last recorded US Chess Federation rating was 1107. How they calculate those ratings, though, I certainly can't figure out.
Back to work I go. :)

Humm, I owe ya five bucks; it doesn't go straight up (or sideways) afterall. :)
My family has a nasty habit of deliberatly destorying our family trees for various reasons. Someone will get interested in doing all the research, but then after a few months, for whatever reason, they burn it all (although the El Paso Blakemore clan is said to have thrown theirs down a cave). I wish I were kidding...

family tree destruction
Sound like they discovered some deep dark secret in the family history that they want forgotten.

Re: family tree destruction
Yeah, but the scary thing is that my family admits to just about everything, so whatever they won't admit too has got to be good...
