05:51 pm - Fins up!
My favourite part of Mitty's wedding was explaining the story behind the song "Fins" to Jen, who was a bit confused (and amused) by everyone in the room putting their hands over their heads and leaning left and right when the song came on at the reception.

I missed telling the story behind some of those songs. I should really do it more often.

I'm currently working on a post for my website about this paradigm shift that features Jen pretty prominently. I like her. I should ask Mitty for some contact info for her sometime.

Try as you might to avoid the hoodoo, sooner or later we're all in the stew. . .

I think I need to get someone to make me some callaloo. Any takers?

We got Crab and pigtail
Squid ink and fish scale
Okra and daheen leaves
Chitchat and chatter
Fill up the platter
With a garnish of pure make believe

Current Location: Southeast of Disorder
Current Mood: amusedamused
Current Music: "Margaritaville", -JB

Thanks to you, everytime I hear that song I am brought back to one of those moments in my life that Shouldn't Have Happened, ala when I was publicly clad in a rain-drenched Hawaiian minidress nervously weaving through a crowd of lei-wearing Druids in a yert attempting to offer a hula girl figure to the Outdwellers.

You know, when this comment appeared in my mailbox, I thought that sleepingwolf wrote it initially.

This is beacause sleepingwolf had commented on entries/comments twice just before you did, and his name also begins with an "s" and has an "ingw" in the middle, and they're about the same length.

So I was envisioning him in a rain-drenched Hawaiian minidress nervously weaving through a crowd of lei-wearing Druids.

It was quite the mental image.

Brilliant graphic.

Brilliant song.

I miss that song. I currently have no access to it, as it is on the hard drive I brought without it's cord. I need to get a new cord. Or just wait til I get home.

I wish. Fact is, LJ screwed up the timestamp on my 4:33 post, making it 8:33, so I couldn't post a legitimate post at 5:whatever like I wanted to. So I had to backdate the 5 PM one and then back date the 4:33 one to make them fall in order.

Damn LJ. *shakes fist*

Hey, are those planes on a snake?
