08:35 am - Border-jumping from Ireland to England
Last night I had a dream.

In this dream, I was thinking about the border between Ireland and England. I believe I've always felt that it was kinda like the US-Mexico border (England being the "US" and Ireland being "Mexico" in this analogy), even though there's something called the Irish Sea between them.

To account for this, I envisioned that someone from Ireland could teleport to England, and that someone from England could teleport to Ireland.

The funny thing was this: Those coming from England to Ireland ended up in Belfast. Those going from Ireland to England ended up in jail.

As well as Wales, the Isle of Man, Cornwall, and parts of Scotland. I know you know UK != England, and that it was only a dream, but I'm feeling... meh. I dunno. There's only 100 miles of exposed English coast that faces Ireland, and even that has Man in the way. Also, much of that section of England has people of Irish descent (ever notice how Lennon/McCartney are Irish names?)

The Welsh especially hate it when you refer to Wales as England. Especially North Wales, which if you know anything about the Kingdom of Gwynedd, is no surprise.

Those coming from England to Ireland ended up in Belfast. Those going from Ireland to England ended up in jail.

Wow. Sounds like something closer to home.

*nods* I have a feeling that the dream wasn't actually about the UK and its relations with Ireland. . .

And I had no idea that Lennon was an Irish name. Then again, I don't know much about Ireland at all, really.
