|04:14 pm - New office|
I entered my new office this morning, and took a picture of it (because everyone needs to have a picture of their office, right?)
My new desk
But the best part, of course, is not what the desk looks like (the clutter that's on it is work left over from my predecessor, who did all he could to ensure that he didn't leave work unfinished, but was just overwhelmed. . . only the white mug and the blue pen are mine), or the old-school pencil sharpener, or the bookshelves, or even the window, but rather what else this office comes with:
A real door that I can close!
Eventually, this office will look more like it's "mine," but until then, I have a lot of paperwork to go through and finish/fix.

If you stay in an office long enough - it will be burned into your brain years later. I can still put myself to sleep remembering all of the offices that I had over my years of working. The best one was next to the men's room. I worked at the FED - aka big money temple in D.C., with marble walls, etc. Sound travels so well through marble.
Worst was the Rabbit Warren at the Watergate, yes that Watergate aka Break in Place by Nixon's bag men. The place was hot yellow and hot pink walls. With battleship blue for cubbies. The Warren was just that. Nobody could find anyone else, nor give coherent directions.
Enough about me - your place looks nice.
Thanks. I hope to clean it up and maybe make it look nicer. Once I have a key :)
