|10:55 am - The Grove is in the Paper|
For those who don't read the Grove Blog, "Leaves of the Willow" or subscribe to the LJ feed (3cg_blog), the Grove was in the Columbus Dispatch today, and you can read the article online.
The article is pretty good, though their list of virtues is. . . interesting.
And there's a great picture of seamus_mcnasty in the print version, too. The article is on page B3, with the picture on page B1.

I'm sure you were pleased that they mentioned 23 people there.
I'm not even a druid and I noticed the odd list of virtues. I wonder what happened there.
No one really knows what's going on with that list of Virtues. See the discussion on the blog feed
for our attempts at Google-fu.
And yeah, 23. :)
Except I don't think they counted themselves.
I was going to say this a few minutes ago, but decided not to...now seeing rfunk's comment I have to.
You must not have appeased Eris enough in the Outdwellers offering.
That may very well be it :)

Damn it, no lactating sheep? You're losing it, man.
Also, doesn't the Dispatch of all newspapers know that it is "the Ohio State University", not "Ohio State University"? :)
You'd think so. I like how I became an "IT specialist". :)

They probably looked up your official title at OSU, then simplified "Systems Specialist-A&P" to "IT Specialist".

Probably. I almost gave him my business card with my temporary, unofficial title, but thought better of it.
That's an awesome article, for the most part! Was it printed in the paper as well?
okay scratch that question, lol
*smiles* I hope to get the accompanying picture scanned in soon, and to post it here.
Despite some minor innacuracies (other than the mentioned strange and unusual list of Virtues, for which they probably used Google and found a list from a Druidic organization other than ADF), the article was relatively well written, with no discernable negative bias. I thought it explained the gist of our faith pretty well to a non-Pagan audience.
I'm pleased that I called seamus_mcnasty
over to give a hand with the interview. Between us, we can generally figure out what we're supposed to be doing :)
It could be a virtue. There are probably about as many virtues as there are Druids, so it works out in the end.
on an (almost) completely unrelated note, this is Ember from the ProtoGrove of the Shenandoah. I have been trying to get a hold of you regarding Trillium, and whether you would be willing to present a workshop there.
:) let me know either way please!
Found your old email and replied. . .

Oh looks like someone got very confused about the Norse bit, looked on the internet for filler, and found the Nine Noble Virtues
- all those pagans are the same right?
Oh wait, just notice that they where different from that too...
