11:10 am - No nuclear reactors: Check.
Software is not designed, licensed or intended for use in the design, construction, operation or maintenance of any nuclear facility and Sun and its licensors disclaim any express or implied warranty of fitness for such uses.

It astounds me the things that people put in their license agreements sometimes. It also makes me wonder what event prompted the inclusion of such a phrase. . .

Wow, two posts about work in one day: It's like Christmas for people who want to know what I do for a living wage, except there's no baby Jesus involved.

A little googling reveals that this is a pretty standard inclusion in license agreements. At first I thought it might have something to do with exporting technology to hostile nations, but several of the no-nuclear stipulations reference Fail-Safe measures in regards to nuclear plants, cause, you know, if a water valve in a dorm fails, it sucks but it isn't as potentially bad as say, when a water valve in a nuclear reactor fails... (of course, no idea what the hell software it is, but just putting something out there)
