Looking for amusement?
How to make a Druid Halloween Costume
I was looking, today, for the ancient source that says the Druids "created the world," and just don't seem to be putting the right search terms into the fields.
Maybe I'll have to head back to the hard copy books tonight. I appear to have misplaced the info in my brain somewhere.

*nods* That's the general argument about what the line means, if I remember correctly. I'm just seeking that original source.
I prefer to say that we "(re)create the cosmos". Gotta have those parentheses in there. ;)
Yes, I studied in the Eliadian school of religious studies. Why do you ask?
I like him well enough. Better than I like most self-styled scholars of religion. Still, his ideas have their own issues, of course.
I like the people who complain about how no one ever talks about his fascist days.
Well, he's quoting *something*, which means I'm not crazy. But without a citation for his quote, myrch
's response is more helpful :)
And much, much sexier :)
Maybe the author indicates his sources in the biblio? Who knows.
I think that just lifting the various accouterments he's got might make me look like him. I mean, you've gotta have great abs just to keep your head up if you're wearin' that.
Dude-- shoes? Srsly? Wuss.

Love the written sound effects
Thump, thump, thump.
Its a druid Night Elf from Worlds of Warcraft.
Why no, I didn't know that off the top of my head. Whatever could you mean?
Schmendrick says that he created the world. Never mind those books. The Creator demands plush cherry tribute.
In other surprising news, I registered for Summerland today! A few of my grovies are coming, too. :D

I need a costume for Halloween - I am the officiating clergy at a wedding which is also a costume party. I thought I had it here, but....
... I don't think the thick facial hair would work for me. :(
I'm 90% certain it comes from the Senchas Mar (or Senchus Mor, or Senchus Mar, or any number of stupid vowel variations)--the Old Law. Unfortunately, the Senchas Mar is really really long
and I haven't read even a tenth of it. Having said that, much (but not all! volume 2 is still missing!) can be found in GoogleBooks if you google "Ancient Laws of Ireland": http://books.google.com/books?client=firefox-a&q=Ancient+Laws+of+Ireland&btnG=Search+Books
Bah, meant to post this as a separate reply. Sorry.
Who knew? Druids were goth! They wore black underwear (undergarments)!
