|11:05 am - Healing Prayer to the Shining Ones|
Written last night, a prayer for healing. I've left it blank for names and pronouns, though the original includes "me" in all those optional places, even though that's just a writing convention I tend to us when writing prayers. It was actually written for someone else.
Your light stretches far,
Bright and holy,
Showering blessings like waters from heaven.
Spread your arms wide,
Embrace _____ warmly,
Let your light shine forth,
Blessings out and down,
Rolling over [him/her]
Brightening [his/her] body and soul.
Shine upon ____.
Make [him/her] bright with your touch.

Perfect timing - one of my co-workers tripped yesterday and got a severe head injury out of the experience. You've helped me give words to my prayers.
I'm pleased that this is helpful, and more pleased that it's timely :) I hop his head heals up well. I know how those kinds of injuries can be.

Very nice, I like it.
I did a healing spell for myself recently. I used laurentium and pine oils. There's nothing like having a good, old times boil in the cauldron :)

Indeed, cauldrons are great for all sorts of things :) Hope the spell went well!

I have no idea how to tell you how I feel about this prayer. I'll just say, "apropriate beyond words."
Going a bit beyond "appropriate" is the goal of any Crane, I tend to think, at least when it comes to liturgy and prayer.
Then again, we spend most of our time "beyond appropriate" in our conversations, so maybe it doesn't stop with liturgies and prayers.
For some reason this really touches me. I need prayers, and I need to pray, but exhaustion has wiped me of all but the most basic, "Please let her heal" or "Please give me strength."
This reminds me of something that touches me when I smell the right kind of book, brush the right kind of soot from my fingers, dip my fingers in the right bowl of water.
Excellent prayer-- may I borrow it? One of my grovies had major heart surgery this week, and we're doing a healing working for him this weekend.
Please do feel free to borrow it. Any work I do for ADF is open to any other ADF member (or, really, anyone) to borrow/steal all they want.
