|11:42 am - Wow|
One hour with an iPhone, and I appear to have broken the damn thing.
And here I thought it'd make me cool.

I honestly don't know. One minute I was messing about with it, and in the process of updating the software (iTunes, another monstrosity of evil that I've now installed on my computer, told me I had to, and Apple, like Microsoft, is always right, right?), and the next minute, all that's on the phone is the image of a black and white apple.
I suspect something went wrong in the update process, and now it's just freezing during the recovery process. Restarting that process doesn't seem to be helping. Apple's solution appears to be, "Restart it, you moron." But if "restart it, you moron" doesn't work, they don't offer much help beyond that.
Yeah, but it's a work/test iPhone. I don't have a lot of faith that they'd feel I was worthy of looking at twice :)
Besides, I may have found resolution, since I posted this.
does it involve taking the padding off of the shovelglove?
I think my office would not look too kindly on me degloving the shovelglove in order to shovel the iPhone out the window. . .
Is it a 3G/S or a 4?
Is it supposed to be synced with your computer?
Are there files/apps/stuff on there and is it backed up on your computer?
When you say restarting, are you holding down the hold and home buttons or are you doing a restore from iTunes?
