Finally. . .

The attic is 100% wallpaper free. There's some gunk that won't come off, but I can't win there. And the closets are another story, but that wallpaper will come down as soon as I've had a chance to get in there and put in 5 new access doors to the crawlspace.

So here's the full plan for the attic:

Tonight, I kitten-proof it so I can toss Infinity up there again.

Then I have to do the following (in no particular order):

Paint the ceiling.
Install 100Mb ports.
Install lighting.
Change the plugs from paired outlets to grounded outlets.
Install 5 access doors (two in each side closet, one in the main closet).
Install a router for the ports.
Add the window seat I want.
Open up the north wall for bookshelves.
Add insulation.
Add one vent and one return vent to the attic.

All that can wait, though.

First, I have to work on the bathroom on the first floor, since Tina already started on it for me (after saying she refuses to live in a construction zone). There, I need to do the following fun items:

Rip down the wallpaper without damaging the drywall.
Replace the plug with a grounded outlet with a reset/test switch.
Install some nicer shelving.
Work on the tiles, including caulk the edges (the previous owners just used "caulk tape", which is, for lack of a better word, shit. That might involve re-tiling and re-grouting.

Then it's off to the master bedroom. I must admit that redecorating isn't exactly my idea of "fun in the bedroom", but one must take what he can get. There, I want to do lots of neat things:

Rip down the wallpaper (again without damaging the drywall).
Paint white over the peach/pink that is under it.
repaint the ceiling white.
Install a ceiling fan with a light.
Put up wainscotting.
Re-finish the hardwood floor.
Buy a queen-sized bed for the first time in years!

Then it's the basement.

I expect to be done with my house by 2055.

On a side note, I'm purchasing a copy of Curse of the Black Pearl tonight.
