12:40 pm - Yummy
So I asked Tina a question last night, and I don't think I really got a good answer.

The word "yummy", as it refers to someone a person is attracted to: what the hell does that mean?

So I asked Tina: "Have you ever had a 'yummy' crush?"

She said no, but that she has seen guys she thought were 'yummy'.

So I asked her to define 'yummy', since it appears she knows what it is.

She couldn't. I asked her if I was 'yummy'. She just laughed and refused to answer that one.

So I tried to get her to define it again, mentioning that it obviously implies that the person must taste good.

She couldn't stop laughing at me long enough to describe it.

So: What is 'yummy'?

Such a philosophical question . . .
I think I have never heard of a "yummy crush", but like Tina, I have met guys that I would describe as yummy. I don't know that I have heard guys use the term for girls (maybe women have food/oral fixation issues that guys don't). Anyway, I would consider a yummy guy to be a very good looking guy, one that I would be physically attracted to. I think it is a more intimate term (compared to hot for example) because a yummy guy instantly makes the leap from someone you see and think is attractive to someone you want to touch. There is a little bit of expectation of tasting good, but I think it is more about someone you don't just want to look at, but want to take to the next physical level. Of course that doesn't mean that you do . . . just that your mind makes that leap before you know what hit you. Does that help?

This is exactly it! Especially the part about "There is a little bit of expectation of tasting good, but I think it is more about someone you don't just want to look at, but want to take to the next physical level. Of course that doesn't mean that you do . . . just that your mind makes that leap before you know what hit you.". That just hits the nail right on the head there...

Off to contemplate yumminess...
