Please don't make me hit anyone with the Shenannigan Shillelagh!
One more reference to "Celtic Shamanism" and I might have to break it out!
(The Shenannigan Shillelagh is reserved for incredibly dumb statements. While I respect the ability of people to come to their own religion and all that fun stuff, I'm often shocked to hear about things that make no sense when put together, like "Celtic Shamanism". There's a weird idea that the Celts developed shamanism, or even that it's a Celtic word. Not so! We can see behaviors which parallel shamanic practices among the Celts, but nothing that is definite. I'm also not a big fan of using the word "Shaman" outside of an aboriginal or indigenous tradition. Thank you so much, DJ Conway, for turning millions of nubile young fluffy bunnies into mindless waifs who desire nothing more than to practice an "authentic", "noble" tradition that never existed. You may now return to your regularly scheduled stupidity.)
(Wait a minute: I should start teaching this "authentic" and "noble" tradition. . . Then I could bag the mindless waifs. . . That's the ticket!)
