|09:56 am - DP reading|
Well, if what I have in hand passes as the new DP reading list, then it's ready for upload as soon as it get approved. I spent three hours last night working on it. I left my office at 8:30 last night.
I was most fortunate to have done most of the leg work before. I already had pictures of all the covers for new books.
I need to make some suggestions to Anthony today that will make this job easier in the future. It was crazy all the stuff I had to do for this.
I'm now looking for the best in- or out-of-print books that don't really fit the DP for the "other recommendations" section of the page. I've asked the Scholars to give me a hand with it.
Current Mood: apathetic
Current Music: "Cowboy in the Jungle", -JB
Well. . . .
It's been in the "final stages of approval" for the past month. I think the Clergy Council is still voting on it, or maybe arguing the finer points or something.
I expected to see a final 2 weeks ago. Right now, I'm guessing it'll be closer to 2 weeks from now.
Ya know, once, just *once*, I'd like to be proved wrong on this stuff and have something done when we're told it will be done. *sighs*
You can't imagine how ecstatic I'd be if it were announced today or tomorrow.
I'd like to be proved wrong on this stuff and have something done when we're told it will be done.
But if that happens, reality as we know it will cease to exist and start the unraveling of space and time until our world implodes! ;D

i wanted to have the dp done by wellspring and since the new one was sposed to be out by samhain, i thought that was a reasonable goal.
Just don't get me started on things getting done by posted dates in ADF>
Well, it's really not that hard, but it sure seems that way, doesn't it?
I don't think anyone realized that the DP had to go through an approval process first, and I *know* no one thought it would be rejected. That's where that misunderstanding came from.
In all, I'm very happy with how much better the DP has gotten. But I'm still sore about the miscommunication about its approval. I just skimmed it yesterday, and the current version is *much* better than the version presented at Samhain.
I just wish that the whole thing hadn't blown up like it did.
Actually the Clergy Council finished most of the DP discussion long ago. It seemed to take the author quite a while to actually bring it up for a final vote. That was smooth sailing...meaning any hold up is certainly not on the CC nor any other sub-group I'm aware of.
I thought that might have been most of the issue.
I just hope it shows up soon. I'm anxious. As anxious as any Dedicant. . .
